Days after the 4th of July, Dennis reflects on the meaning of patriotism at a time when we may not feel proud of the direction America is headed. Despite these feelings, however, we raise the flag for the values it represents — the American Trinity inscribed on every U.S. coin: Liberty, In God We Trust, and E Pluribus Unum. We must restore these values if America is to remain the last best hope of Earth.
